Controlled Flight Into Terrain: the pilot’s term for when the aircraft is under positive control by the pilot; he just happened to try to fly through a granite cloud. Usually, that’s not something discussed in the first person.
In this case, posted by our friends at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the Beechcraft Bonanza pilot continued under visual flight rules (VFR) into instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). That’s a big no-no, and has prematurely terminated many lives.
Somehow, at the last possible second, this pilot dodges the mountain just enough to survive... but not so much to completely avoid hitting it.
I hope he turned in his license after this one. This is not good aeronautical decision making.

Sorry, I get one... what?
I have my private pilot license, if that’s what you’re referring to, and working on my instrument.

one really big mistake. One. That guy was lucky as a damn 1000 leaf clover. When I say "you" I am speaking to the guy in the video, not you, the poster...

Ah - gotcha.
Yes, if that pilot were a cat, he just used up a life.
